since my introduction into the horse world do I look back on my life before. I guess you could
say I’m making up for lost time, going through my horse-obsession phase as a 26-year-old!
My first horse Jax gave me his everything. Bombproof, been-there-done-that type of horse that
never had a bad day. It hadn’t even been a year that I sat on a horse for the first time before Jax
and I were regularly sneaking out for a solo canter in the field. On him I felt unstoppable.
After becoming so enmeshed in the horse world I desired more. I wanted to work with horses, to
fill my days giving back to these animals who had given my life purpose again. That is when our
barefoot trimmer put me in contact with Birgitta and Connie. I spent the whole summer taking
online courses in barefoot, buying trimming tools and experimenting with rasping in between
trims. When time came for my first trimming clinic, I knew going into it that I would do anything
to make this my everyday life. I was committed to practice and train with Success With Horses,
and they took a chance on me. For that I am forever grateful.
I feel that I have walked into my life’s purpose. There is no doubt nor hesitation in my mind.
Though not every day is easy and not every horse will stand or behave perfectly, I wouldn’t want
to be spending my days doing anything else!
